Project Objectives

  • Showcase Miami’s vibrant culture. For the Miami pickup shoot, Connor’s brief prioritzed stadium game footage, tailgate scenes, and capturing general fan energy.

  • Avoid logos and alcohol. Because of sponsor restrictions, we avoided filming prominent alcohol branding and ensured crowd shots did not feature underage drinkers.

Project Scope

  • Pre‑production: We reviewed the shot list and coordinated with Hard Rock Stadium to obtain field access. Only a small crew attended, so our team prepared to cover both wide and close‑up shots. A $100 per‑town expense reimbursement was agreed to for Miami, Auburn and South Carolina.

  • Production: Our cameras captured the Hurricanes’ arrival, tailgate parties outside Hard Rock Stadium, marching band performances and the notorious “Turnover Chain” celebrations. We framed shots to emphasize Toyota vehicles and avoided close‑ups of alcoholic drinks or non‑licensed logos.

  • Post‑production: Footage was delivered on schedule to Lowkey Films. Editors praised the diversity of shots and how they conveyed Miami’s festive atmosphere.

Results

  • The Miami episode blended game‑day excitement with glimpses of South Florida culture—palm trees, neon lights and Latin‑influenced tailgate music. Viewers commented on the lively vibe and crisp cinematography.

Lessons Learned

  1. Cultural awareness: Incorporating Miami’s multicultural elements (music, food, fashion) enhanced the episode’s authenticity.

  2. Brand compliance: Avoiding alcohol and non‑sponsor logos required constant vigilance on a rowdy tailgate scene.

  3. Budget management: Per‑town expense allowances helped cover travel costs and ensured crew members were compensated fairly.
