Georgia Bulldogs: College Town - Dawg Nation, Athens Unleashed!
In Athens we focused on Bulldog traditions—red‑and‑black tailgate scenes, Uga the mascot and fans chanting “Go Dawgs.” A splinter‑unit shoot supplemented crowd interviews and downtown Athens B‑roll. The episode showcases Sanford Stadium’s electric atmosphere and the fervor of Georgia fans.

Project Objectives
Highlight Bulldog traditions. For the Athens episode, the client asked us to capture the “Go Dawgs” chant, scenes of UGA the mascot, and the sea of red at Sanford Stadium.
Showcase Toomer’s Corner (splinter unit). Connor’s splinter‑unit email scheduled Athens as part of a multi‑town pickup shoot on Sunday 7 September
mail.google.com. We aimed to film additional B‑roll and fan interviews during this pickup.
Project Scope
Pre‑production: We reviewed the shot list and schedule, noting that Josh (our second DP) would cover Gainesville and one other town while Tyree’s team handled Athens. We confirmed access with Georgia athletics and printed location signage to meet permission requirements.
Production: Cameras rolled outside Sanford Stadium capturing bulldog fans tailgating, vendors selling red and black merchandise, and fans doing the “Go Dawgs” chant. During the splinter pickup we filmed additional crowd B‑roll and interviews around downtown Athens.
Post‑production: Footage was delivered to Lowkey via Frame.io; editors intercut our shots with interviews filmed by Lowkey’s UK crew.
Results
The Georgia episode highlighted Bulldog pride, with wide shots of Sanford Stadium, close‑ups of UGA, and enthusiastic fan chants. Viewers appreciated seeing Athens’ downtown scene alongside the game‑day energy.
Lessons Learned
Coordination between main and splinter units: Clear division of towns and cameras ensured coverage without duplication.
Brand guidelines apply everywhere: Even in pickup shoots we adhered to the no‑alcohol, over‑25 rule and captured location signage to satisfy legal requirements.
Local color matters: Shooting downtown Athens and campus landmarks enriched the visual narrative.
